1.  Please give us a bit of background on who you are and what you do? (what is your backstory/your business)

I was an entrepreneur with my own jewelry business and designed jewelry for major retailers.  Seven years ago, I woke up in pain.  Every joint and every muscle in my body hurt.  I went to my conventional MD and after running multiple tests over many visits, she offered me steroids and suggested there was nothing wrong with me and offered me steroids.

I was not going to live a life of pain and pills.  I turned my business over to my staff and started researching.  I tripped into summits being run by the functional Medical community and watched 19 of them, and watched all of the doctors presentations.  I figured out I probably had autoimmune disease and there were 2 things I could do for myself.

I could lower my stress and I could eliminate toxins.I was appalled that toxins were everywhere.  I found stress exercises I now do daily and I eliminated hundreds of toxins in my life. I found a Functional MD, confirmed that I had autoimmune disease and eliminated my pain and lowered my inflammation.  At 67, I returned to school to become a health coach so that I could help others.

I wrote an award winning book (13 awards).  In the last year I have done over 75 podcasts as a guest, and 7 summits about toxins. I have an online course ‘Feel Great Now, eliminate Chronic Pain’, I have a 5 part class ‘Food Quality Matters’, and a ‘21 day Sugar Detox’ online. I have started my second book.

I plan to start my own podcast later this year and to do public speaking in the Los Angeles area.  I have spoken to cancer survivors, stroke survivors at my local hospital, to church groups and at corporate lunches and seminars.  I am now 70 and feel better than I did in my 50’s.

2.  What are three business & life lessons you have learned throughout your journey?

You can heal yourself by eliminating toxins and eating organic veggies and fruits.  Your body wants to heal, you need to feed it proper nutrition. Own your own health.  Don’t let anyone tell you something can’t be done. Follow your passion and your mission and change the lives of others.

3.  What advice can you give other entrepreneurs that is struggling to breakthrough the glass sealing in reaching their goals?

Women are much more focused to succeed because it is not as easy to get to the top.  Remain results oriented.  Nice guys can win.  Employees were always willing to do more for me because I set clear expectations and then noticed when employees achieved those expectations.

4.  When & how did your big shift take place?

I realized in my 50’s that the only person who kept me from doing what I wanted to achieve was ME. Release the fear, make a plan and then set out to achieve the results.

5.  What inspires and motivates you? What wakes you up every morning, make you get the work done and do it all over again the next day?

Whether it was designing my jewelry for my jewelry business, or working on health presentations to help others with chronic illnesses, what inspires me is passion for what I do.

6.  How do you differentiate yourself from your competitors? What makes you unique?

I have lived through the pain and come out the other end.  I have researched to help myself.  I am an encyclopedia of knowledge and first hand experience.
