Fabulous skin care, hair care, bug repellant, petroleum jelly replacements, sun block
These products all rate a 1 on the EWG scale of toxins.
I use all of their products instead of the conventional items that were making my skin dry, my head itch, my body itch, and or were poisoning me. These products are brilliant. Although I do not own a dog, I understand their dog care items are also supurb.
Aeirloom Bakery, Studio City
A new find in the valley, I stop there for lunch after appointments with my Functional MD or their t eam.
Pastured eggs, grass fed grass finished beef, bison, free run chicken, gluten free options. I am stuck on the beef tacos, with fabulous guacomole. My husband has had the bison burger and he fell in love with the mac and cheese. The restaurant is cozy and warm, and the wait staff is friendly and caring. The owner is a doll. Try it, it is easy to eat clean here.

Cappello makes some pretty amazing products for people who don’t eat gluten.
The first things I found and fell in love with are their almond flour fetticini and lasagna noodles. I was purchasing them directly from the company in Colorado, but Whole foods now has them in their frozen foods section. (I helped campaign for Whole Foods to carry them). My hubby and I love both shapes. They cook quickly and make Italian nights fun again, around my sensitivities.
We just made lasagna using Cappello’s lasagna noodles and Kite Hill almond ricotta, and 2 layers of thin zucchini noodles in between. I also added spinach for extra goodness and nutrients. I use Raos marinara. Yummy and clean.
Cappello pasta is available at Whole Foods and many other healthy grocers. My local health food store carries their pasta.
They also now have a gluten free pizza crust that you can buy directly from the company in Colorado. I live in hope that eventually these will also be at Whole Foods or some place local. They have traditional pizzas and just crusts. They are all gluten free. Since I am very dairy sensitive, I buy the naked. We have pizza nights probably once a month, and these crusts are yummy. Try them- you won’t be disappointed. It was a thrill to be able to have pizza again. Well worth your purchase and the shipping. Last pizza night was this crust with small scoops of butternut squash, carmelized onions, sautéed mushrooms and sautéed spinach. My hubby got dairy cheese, I use little scoops of Kite Hill almond ricotta. Double Yum.
I bought a steel pizza plate to cook these on in my oven. We heat it at 450 for 45 minutes before we slide the pizza on. The crust gets crunchy and the result is amazing.
I am proud to award Cappello’s with my “Golden Broccoli Award for Excellence in Health”.

Those of you who have heard me speak, know that cleaning supplies and laundry and dishwasher soaps are amongst the most toxic things we use in our houses.
This amazing product solved the need for any of those nasty products I had previously been using. Even people with asthma, skin issues like eczema, and the very chemically sensitive could use this product without reacting.
These were their priorities for the new product. They are my kind of people.
“Our priority was to create a safe, versatile and effective home and body cleaner that doesn’t irritate the skin, eyes, or lungs. We began by asking formulators to make a pure soap that would be fragrance-free, leave no odor or residue, remove stains, cut grease, and not irritate. And, of course, matching performance with our original product was critical. So, in a nutshell, we wanted the formula to:
• Contain all known-to-be-safe ingredients
• Be plant and mineral based
• Contain ingredients rated a “1” by the EWG
• Be Non-GMO
• Cause no irritation to the eyes, skin or lungs
• Stay clear when mixed with tap water
• Officially qualify as “fragrance-free”
• Be an all-purpose cleaner that cuts grease and removes residues
• Leave no residual odor that lingers after application
• Have a safe, natural preservative to assure the stability of the formula
• Be free of alcohol or alcohol ethoxylate surfactants
• Be affordable for our customers”
