What is Mago?

“In Korean, the word Mago means the unconditional love and spirit of Mother Earth. It is with that sentiment that Sedona Mago Center for Well-being and Retreat was established. Our mission is to help usher in a world where people have awakened to the unconditional love that is their divinity and, therefore, recognize that same divinity in other human beings, animals, and the planet we all share.

Our mission is to love humanity and love the Earth, transcending all divisions that set us apart. It embraces the idea of one planet and one humanity, united in her eyes. This awareness guides us to treat each other with empathy and respect, forging a path to harmonious coexistence. Our commitment to coexistence is the foundation for our continued inhabitation of this planet, ensuring a sustainable future for ourselves and future generations.”

Our field trip will begin Sunday morning Sept 14 at 9 AM and we will head out to our one darling organic restaurant in our small town.  The food is fresh, homemade,  and delicious.

The Day will begin with a BYOB (Buy your own breakfast) at our organic cottage in Rimrock, Peach Cafe

This way you can order what you want to eat off their menu.

We will then head out to the Sedona Mago Center for Well-being and Retreat Center.

It is the location for the award winning LOVE HEALS Movie that we all watched on opening night.

Inside you will find 200 spectacular acres with a lake, an Island called Heaven, a water fall, a vista looking out over at Sedona, 3 magical trees, and a labyrinth.

We will walk around the lake, and perhaps climb up to the top of the little waterfall and the look out over the spectacular Sedona valley.  We will then

come back down to visit the famous trees on the property.

The three famous trees are, the magical tree that you hug,  you ask  permission and you hug it, and then ask your question, and if you are lucky it just might answer you.

I had a very amusing adventure with this tree and wrote a blog about it here..

The second tree is my favorite on the property.  The tree is sitting on a famous female vortex, and the trunk has significantly twisted due to the vibration.  Being a female vortex, this is a perfect place to forgive the past and then return to the now.

And then the third famous tree is on the island called heaven, which is one of the most peaceful places I have ever spent time.  Sometimes when John is out at the reserve, I go with him just to spend some quiet time and read “in heaven”.

This is a remarkable place to visit, and get close to your own heart and soul.

This is John and I on the island named Heaven

We will take a walk around the labyrinth.

This is the top of the hill to see t he amazing vistas.

Other fun sites on the property

This is the only wildlife photo that we found that we took, but at night, the lake is visited by many wild animals from skunks, to foxes, to bob cats.

You will enjoy an organic Pescatarian cafeteria style lunch which is included in the package. (Pescatarian means vegetarian with fish and egg.

At the end of the day, on our way back to our home in Rimrock to say our good byes, there is a spiritual Native American Spot that is an Arizona Park and if we have  time we would like to take you there to visit.  There is no additional fee for this side trip.  Its one on my favorite tourist spots in Arizona.
