Old Ways Won’t Open New Doors

My SARK newsletter this morning, reflected on this, and I think its a great way to reframe whatever is happening in your life, so I wanted to share it.
I love SARK because she has played such an intregrel part in my own self-love. And she is always so authentic in her reflections.
If you haven’t read any of her books, or read any of her blogs, I recommend that you start.
I have followed her now for over 25 years. She was single when I first bought her Succulent Wild Woman: Dancing with Your Wonder-full Self book, and then I have followed her to finding her soul mate and bliss, to the horrific grief of losing him to cancer, to serendippity, finding another man who was absolutely right for her at that moment in time, and now the work they do together.
Whether its joy or grief, SARK has always had some inspirational ways to look at it all.
And all of her books are done in the colors of the rainbow. In fact her name is susan and the rainbow is incorporated right into every thing she does.
Today Sark reflects…..
“For years, one of my favorite practices has been adding four simple words to something I’m already doing, or want to do.
Again and again, this practice has opened me to unexpected sweetness.
in a new way
I learned long ago that I don’t actually need a new life, a new dream, a new relationship, a new project, or a new solution.
Sometimes I simply need a new way.
What if I rested…
in a new way?
What if I listened…
in a new way?
What if I asked for support…
in a new way?
What if I loved myself…
in a new way?
Again and again, these four words help me discover possibilities I couldn’t previously see.
It helps me to feel curiosity more than habit and possibility more than resistance.
Again and again, I discover that what is needed is not a different outcome, but a different approach.
A new way of asking.
A new way of listening.
A new way of loving.”

What can you look at in a new way today, that will help you process and move forward? Its a great thing to tuck in the back of your mind for when you need it.
